ABOUT

Jaylene, she/her, is Kadazan-Dusun and Chinese, an artist, a plant collector, and loves trying new restaurants.

She grew up in the Bay Area, but Los Angeles won her over with its food. Passionate about equity, accessibility, and storytelling, she has a Master of Theological Studies and a MBA, and has made nonprofit and development work her career. She founded Climb the Gap, a group dedicated to increasing diversity and equity in the climbing community. She enjoys surfing, illustrating, biking, eating her way through LA, and making lists.

She won a Reading Rainbow contest as an 8-year-old, and is just trying to make that kid proud.
